    In speaking about Jesus’ baptism, Luke3:22 says “and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “Thou art My beloved Son, in Thee I am well-pleased.” He is also referred to as the son of Daivd, as Mary goes back to David through Nathan (the blood line) while Joseph goes back through the kingly line (Solomon) which was cursed at the time of captivty so that no human of the kingly line would sit on David’s throne. It had to be the blood line through another son (Nathan) which was Mary’s line to Messiah.
